Giving actors access
Now your images have been tagged and you have made any kills or selects, it’s time to grant access to the cast so they can begin their approvals.
Let your account manager at Image Approvals know you’re ready for the actors to begin, and they will send you Welcome Packs to forward to the cast. These Welcome Packs contain each actors’ login credentials and a short user guide so they can get going without needing any support from you.
All you need to do now is sit back and occasionally log in to Image Approvals to track the progress of your cast….
Actors approving
Now that your actors are making their way through their stills approvals, you may want to see how they’re getting on from time to time. You can keep an eye on their progress in two different ways:
Days marked as done:
When viewing the list of shoot days/image folders, you can see which actors have marked each day’s approvals as done and who you are waiting for.

Summary Box:
For more details, you can click on the ‘i’ icon at the top right of the page to see a summary box.
The summary shows how many solo and group images each actor appears in, as well as how many kills they have made and how many they have remaining.

Time’s up, approvals complete?
If any of the cast have not marked their days as done by the time their contracted window of opportunity to do so has passed, you can either give them more time, or, if like us, you like to stick to deadlines, you can ask your account manager at Image Approvals to mark each actors’ approvals as done on their behalf. This will then close each actors’ access and the platform will consider all images not killed as approved for use. Yippee!
Next Steps…
You’re almost there! Now all you need to do is download your kill reports and run the Image Approvals Script which will automatically separate out all of your production’s images into Killed, Approved, and Approved Selects folders. Click the button below to see the last two stages of the process.
